UK: Morocco Agriculture Forum
Wednesday 21 October 2009 Excel London 11-30 am at the World Fruit & Vegetable Show
Moroccan export is proving to be a vibrant force in the European grocery market. Germany, France, Russia and the UK are now regular destinations for Morocco's fresh produce and truck farming. The country has everything going for it, with great natural resources and a dynamic exportation structure.
Morocco's growing offer in terms of fresh produce exportation is bringing many benefits to traders around the world, but especially in Europe. The country is second only to Spain in its clementine exportation, and is also second globally in the exporting of citrus fruits and French beans. Morocco's contribution to the fresh fruit market is proving to be particularly popular with European buyers, and trade relations are flourishing as a result. Additionally, the input of spice and nuts, fish and olive oil to the global grocery market is as fascinating as it is consistent and fresh.
As the gateway to Europe, Africa and The Middle East, Morocco represents a more than viable export platform which enables regional markets to be opened up and developed. Morocco also enjoys the environmental benefits of rich soil, temperate climate and abundant water, as well as being open to innovation and positive incentives. Added to this, the country's agri-business is blessed by efficient transport and communications. This can only be enhanced by another attractive aspect of the country: a skilled labour at an advantageous cost.
Morocco clearly has a great deal to bring to the global stage in terms of great tasting fresh produce, and we look forward to seeing them go from strength to strength as a major player. This will be helped by their much anticipated appearance at the World Fruit and Vegetable Show 2009 at the Excel Arena in London, on October 21st and 22nd. A forum will be held there which will showcase everything with which they are blessing the world of fresh produce.
The Forum will be held on October 21st at 11.30 am.
