US: Dulcinea Farms enhancing East Coast operations

Dulcinea Farms continues to enhance its East Coast infrastructure with the addition of Mike Agar as the Area Manager for the Eastern and Offshore operations.  Mike brings with him 25 years of produce experience heavily concentrated in grower relationships, supply chain management and daily operations.

Mike Agar has worked in various leading roles within the produce industry spearheading sales efforts, establishing food service relationships, securing grower partnerships and setting the bar for operational standards.  During his most recent tenure with L&M Companies, Mike led Sales and Operations for the West Coast supplying melons, lettuces as well as other commodities.  His most recent responsibilities were concentrated on growing melons in Central America and the East Coast.

“Joining Dulcinea Farms is exciting to me because I share such a passion for the produce industry.  Continuing to interact with growers and partners to further the East Coast and Offshore efforts is an extremely welcoming opportunity.”

“The addition of Mike Agar will provide significant value to Dulcinea’s company initiatives by deepening our experience in order to build successful East Coast and Offshore programs.” Says Justin Schmidt, Director of Operations.

Dulcinea Farms continues to invest in current and new market opportunities and explore premium product offerings.  The focus for 2010 will be to continue to bring more excitement and value and lead in innovation, quality, marketing and consumer satisfaction.
