Peruvian Presentation at the fair Asia Fruit Logistics 2009.
Peru will be present for the second consecutive time in the third version of the Asia Fruit Logistic trade fair to be held from the 2nd to 4th of September in Hong Kong. On this occasion Peruvian delegation will be lead by the association of Producers of the agricultural exporters of Peru - AGAP - with support from the Ministry of Agriculture in coordination from the German-Peruvian Chamber, official representatives of the organizers in Peru.
With a delegation of six exporting companies the Peruvian offering for this fair will be comprised of table grapes, fresh mangoes, citrus, bananas, fresh asparagus, avocados and others.
Participating companies are:
- Camposol.
- Danper Trujillo.
- El Pedregal.
- Gandules.
- Agro-Export Malakasi.
- Consortium Norvir.
For Peru and for the whole world, the Asian market is presented as a potential market and no longer the competitor of years ago thanks to Asia’s economic development. The strength of Peru are its export products that coincide with Chinese festivities (such as Chinese New Year) where traditionally a fruit given. This has significantly increased their volumes of trade.
With the signing and implementation of several of Peru's FTA with major countries of East Asia, not to mention the phytosanitary protocols implemented so far (grape, mango and citrus with China), we believe that now more than ever our presence in the Asia Fruit Logistics 2009 is an obligation.
It is important to mention that on this occasion as the previous time the Peruvian delegation under the auspices of Intercorp group, which is a financial group interested in developing bilateral trade between Peru to the East Asia.
