Chinese company TOMCO already supplies snow peas and sugar snap peas

TOMCO Produce harvest will start very soon. "We are glad that we can harvest very soon. In this way we can guarantee our supplies in time and prices will be relatively stable for 8-10 weeks", says Younger Q.C.Liu, Managing Director of TOMCO. "At the moment we are supplying snow peas and sugar snap peas in 150 g or 250 g pre-packs or in 2kg/4kg plastic baskets. We can deliver it by sea containers or by air."

Exporting is getting difficult because of the costs and selling price pressure. Our main importing country Australia has a delated season which will last till end of this month, it normally would be finished at the end of April. "We are seeing an increase in demand  from Australia."

TOMCO Produce as a Chinese origin Asian Produce supplier, sees that the domestic demand inside China is still very high and short of supply of historically exported items like snow peas, sugar snap peas, onion flowers. "For example the snow peas collecting price from growers is still at USD1.45/kg but the same period in last year was only USD0.90-1.20/kg. We in this industry believe that this is because of the Spring season in the main growing areas are lower in temperature, and the frost in the southern hemisphere in Feb. and March, meant no supplies in March. May harvest in the middle and north of China is very low and the main markets are for locals."

"We believe that our 20 years experience will meet all parties special requirements and guarantee the quality and service."
