Ozone Safe Food Technologies:
Food safety and longer shelf life

OSF Technologies is a pioneer in the world of ozone for food processing plants.  We are the manufacturer of the patented OSF System for food processing and equipment sanitation for the meat, beef, poultry, seafood, fruits, vegetable processing and beverage industries. Our systems range from mobile units to complete central systems and are all designed, manufactured, and installed by us.

From air treatment, to water treatment, to plant sanitation, and direct application on food products, our systems are the finest quality ozone machines manufactured in the world.  Ozone oxidizes organic material at a rate 3,100 times that of chlorine, allowing it to instantly break down fat and grease.  By utilizing the naturally powerful properties of ozone, our chemical-free systems reduce sanitation time, labor costs, hot water consumption and harmful chemicals, while offering increased food quality and shelf life. OSF Technologies also offers the most advanced and cost effective waste water treatment systems in the world.

As ozone for produce sanitation and water treatment becomes more and more popular, OSF Technologies is there and committed to your ongoing success.

Ozone Safe Food Technologies (www.ozonesafefood.com) is dedicated to providing clean solutions that purify, protect and preserve the world's food and water supply. Cost effective and reliable, Ozone Safe Food's proven solutions are specifically designed to promote sustainable practices and improve the freshness and safety of food throughout the supply chain, as well as to deliver the highest levels of purification and disinfection in water applications, including bottling, pharmaceutical, and consumer products.

AN EFFECTIVE, CHEMICAL-FREE FOOD-SAFETY SOLUTION FOR FRESH PRODUCE IMPROVE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF FOOD

Global concern for safer food is driving the demand for food safety audits across the industry. Increasingly, processors, restaurants and grocery stores are looking for simple and effective solutions to meet new HACCP requirements. These concerns combined with consumer and regulatory demands to use fewer chemicals have increased the need for proven, environmentally friendly, Ozone-Based solutions for the disinfection of fresh produce and other food products. We provides packers, processors, restaurants, hospitals, schools, and grocery stores with a cost effective solution to enhance food safety and automated HACCP reporting, while reducing or eliminating the use of chemicals.

POWERFUL DISINFECTANT

OZONE SAFE FOOD TECHNOLOGIES efficiently dissolves ozone into water at precise concentrations for use as a safe but powerful spray disinfectant rinse. The solution kills pathogens and controls a broad spectrum of food borne and waterborne micro organisms. Ozone is nature's most powerful disinfect. By incorporating ozone into the wash process, growers, processors, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and grocery stores can enhance food-safety practices, and reduce the use of chemicals while improving bottom line profits.

REDUCED USE, RESIDUE, AND DISPOSAL OF CHEMICALS

OZONE SAFE FOOD TECHNOLOGIES generates ozone from ambient air on-site, ending chemical purchase, storage, and disposal issues. After oxidizing its target, ozone conveniently converts into pure oxygen, leaving product taste, texture, and smell characteristics in their natural state. The Aqueous Ozone spray solution works with existing equipment and processes, and it's easy to install, operate, and maintain. Ozone is certified organic.

OPTIMUM SAFETY AND EFFICACY

OZONE SAFE FOOD TECHNOLOGIES ozone systems are developed scientifically, ensuring that  only precise amounts of ozone are delivered to the product and work area for both effectiveness and safety. Ozone is a safe and natural purification and disinfection agent for food and water. Made on-site from the oxygen in air, ozone is extremely fast and effective in disinfection, sanitization, and storage environments. After doing its work, ozone reverts back into pure oxygen leaving no residue.

OZONE REGULATION

·         Ozone has been used in Europe for nearly 100 years.

·         FDA approved ozone for bottled water in 1982.

·         EPA allows use of ozone with no reporting or record keeping.

·         FDA granted petition for use with fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, etc. in June 2000.

·         USDA approved ozone as organic under the USDA Organic Rule in 2000.

·         Effective ozone levels are safely below OSHA limits.

Chlorine, Disinfection-By-Products, and Cancer

When chlorine is used to disinfect water or produce, it comes into contact with humic acids and organic mater producing what are called DBPs, or Disinfection-By-Products. One class of these chemicals is called trihalomethanes which would include chloroform, trichloroethylene, and carbon tetrachloride, all shown to be carcinogens, or cancer causing.
