NL: Solidpack presents box made from grass fibers
Tholen, Nederland- Solidpack, makers of cardboard packaging, presented Grasbox at Empack in s'Hertogenbosh. This box is based in grass fibres and is developed in cooperation with A.S Watson Health and Beauty Benelux. The Grasbox is a pioneering product and was presented to Minister Jacqueline Cramer, the green minister for the environment, on 26 March.

The hard wearing product is made from 20- 30% grass and the rest is from old paper, but has the same, well known quality as existing paper and cardboard boxes from Solidpack. "With this product we are reducing raw material and energy use and creating a situation of zero emmitions in respect of CO2,waste and water," states Solidpack. The boxes are damp proof and therefore definitely suitable for fruit and vegetable packaging.
