Cedar Creek Company acquires JetStick™ Airshot Technology
Australian company, Cedar Creek Company has recently acquired Fruit Labelling Solutions (FLS) in New Zealand and majority ownership of Fruit Labelling Australia (FLA) to take controllership of the Jetstick range of products globally. The company has established Jetstick Labelling Solutions (JLS) to hold the rights to design, develop, manufacture and take to market the full range of products and technology developed by Jetstick Limited.

The transfer of Jetstick’s Airshot™technology to Cedar Creek Company, (Australia’s hardware and software solutions specialists for perishable foods), provides a pathway to a bright future for these innovative products on a global level.
Jetstick has developed and refined its patented labelling technology for the fresh produce sector over the past several years and has worked with Hally Labels to produce a number of robust solutions for In-Line and In-Tray individual fruit and produce labelling. Two new box-end labellers, the Jetstick Industrial Applicator (JIA) and Rapid Dispenser Labeller (RDL) are also new and innovative developments that are receiving considerable interest from pack-houses. Their significant points of difference and low cost make them a compelling option for in-line labelling of fruit and vegetable trays and cartons.
With these technologies now ready for commercialisation, Cedar Creek Company and JLS will use their market strengths and design and development capacities to deliver the Jetstick Airshot™ labelling technology to world fruit markets. Emerging international product compliance standards and consumer demands for information are driving the need for reliable, efficient and cost-effective labelling. JLS is well placed to service this increasing demand for product identification and traceability.

With Jetstick’s Airshot™ innovative technology, the advantages of a new operating model, and the development, manufacturing and technical support of Cedar Creek Company, Jetstick Airshot™ labelling products are the obvious choice for fruit label application.
News From The Field
Jetstick is a leading edge innovator in the fruit labeling industry, with recent progress in the field including:
Bananas:
Extensive trials have been undertaken with our banana labelling in Central America. Progress in this area has been made to the point where we can now programme for labels to be applied to specific fingers of the inner curve of a hand/cluster of bananas. This is a significant step forward in banana labelling, which has traditionally been done manually.
Apples:
We expect larger volumes than ever of NZ apples to be labelled in 2009.
Kiwifruit:
There is an extensive program planned for labelling in 5 of New Zealand’s larger pack-houses this season - commencing next week.
Other News:
Further trials in Tomatoes, Citrus, and Apples are currently being undertaken. throughout Australia and the United States.
We have expanded our global reseller base with resellers newly appointed in Chile, Taiwan, Korea, Australia and India.
