Philippines: Tadeco exports Nenita bananas to China
Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. (Tadeco), one of the leading banana exporter in the Philippines, has launched the export of Nenita Bananas to China, marking the company's first breakthrough this year.

Nenita, an internationally known brand name of pomelos and other tropical fruits like papaya and grapefruit, is the newest brand of bananas to hit the Chinese market through Goldland Fruit Group.
Eric Choo, Chief Operating Officer for Goldland Fruit Group remarked about marketing Nenita bananas in China. “I never give up on the deal, because I believe it's a good fruit! And we believe Tadeco contributes the best bananas in the Philippines and in the whole world,” said Choo.
Tadeco set off its maiden shipment of Class B bananas to the cities of Shanghai, Dalian, and Tianjin in China last January where it received classification as premium bananas comparable to Class A produce from other source-companies.
High quality of freshness is assured throughout the shipment process since it takes the fastest direct service from Davao to Shanghai, which runs for 6 days. This is one important factor that makes Nenita bananas at par with other premium bananas.

“This forms part of our goal to broaden our market not only for the benefit of the company but also to help boost our country's economy. We also see this as a strategic move to counter the crisis that has confronted large companies globally,” said Antonio Floirendo, Jr., Vice Chairman of the Anflo Group of Companies.

This newest venture of Tadeco is a major leap of the company as it introduces to China its bananas bearing its very own brand name “Nenita”. Overriding such benefit to the company, though, is the fact that this recent move opens doors to bigger market and greater opportunities for Davao bananas.
