Sheetz, Inc. expands presence with Fourth Store in Greenville, NC
Sheetz, Inc. is excited to open a new location in Greenville, North Carolina. The new store, which is the fourth location in Greenville, sits at 4300 East 10th Street. It is the 19th Sheetz store to open in the state. While doors officially opened to customers this morning, employees will host a grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, November 6. Customers and all media are welcome to attend.
Sheetz is proud of its tradition of giving back to the communities in
which it operates. Especially important to the organization is finding ways to
be involved with today's young people. As part of the celebration on November
6, the company will make a donation to Greenville Parks and Recreation. The
contribution will be used to help develop a new golf program for kids from the
city of Greenville.
"Over the past two years people in Greenville have embraced Sheetz and we
are happy to continue to grow with the city," said Louie Sheetz, Executive
Vice President Marketing, Sheetz, Inc. "As well, Sheetz has a long tradition
of being involved in youth-centered activities so we are happy to further our
commitment to support the children of Greenville through the parks and
recreation department."
For more than twenty years, Sheetz has offered customers an extensive menu
of MTO(R) subs, sandwiches and salads. The new store features cold and
toasted subs, a variety of salads, along with French fries, onion rings,
chicken fingers, burgers and much more, all made fresh to order, just the way
the customer wants at reasonable prices. The 5,000 square-foot store will also feature Sheetz Bros. Coffeez(R), a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista. Customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas -- hot, frozen or iced.
Frozen fruit smoothies round out the specialty drink menu. For those who
prefer to pour their own, Sheetz offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made
from 100% Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend,
Serious Dark Roast, 100% Colombian and Hazelnut.
As always at Sheetz, customers place their food and specialty coffee
orders at touch-screen order kiosks. A surcharge-free ATM and a variety of
retailer gift and phone cards are available for the convenience of busy
customers.
With a legacy of innovation, customer focus and employee development, the
company's mission today is on meeting the needs of customers on the go. The
company is committed to providing fast and friendly service, quality products
in clean and convenient locations.
Total Customer Focus ("TCF") has been at the heart of the family owned and
operated business since it's founding in 1952. "We look for great,
high-energy people to work in our stores, and we train them to be respectful
of the needs of our customers," Mr. Sheetz said. "We are happy to be part of
the lives of the people of Greenville and provide them with excellent customer
service."
Established in 1952 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sheetz, Inc. is one of
America's fastest growing family-owned and operated convenience store chains,
with more than $3.9 billion in revenue for 2007 and more than 11,000
employees. The company operates more than 340 convenience locations
throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North
Carolina. Sheetz provides an award-winning menu of MTO(R) subs, sandwiches
and salads, which are ordered through unique touch-screen order point
terminals. Sheetz currently ranks 98th on the Forbes list of largest private
companies and has received awards in both Ohio and Pennsylvania for being
named among their Best Places to Work in 2007. All Sheetz convenience stores
are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
