US: Organic Alliance adds world-renowned chef to its advisory board
Organic Alliance, Inc., announced today that Chef Stephen Crellin has joined the company's Advisory Board. Chef Crellin graduated from the College of Crafts and Catering in 1975. He then did his apprenticeship in Switzerland. After his apprenticeship he came back to Liverpool where he enjoyed seven years of private service as chef to members of Britain's Royal Family, cooking for Royalty and peerage from around the world. His international background includes duty in England, Switzerland, Bermuda and the United States. He has also gained many years of experience in multi-unit management. Currently he works for Turbo Chef as Regional Sales Director where he flies around the world teaching how to cook with the Turbo Chef.
"Organic foods are a must in today's world where mass production and profit have a greater importance than the actual health benefits of the food itself. Cattle are housed in overheated, crowded stalls and injected with artificial growth hormones to produce more beef per cow and increase milk production. This leads to infection and antibiotic use," said Chef Crellin. "Our produce is doused with pesticides that are harmful to humans and we need to make changes. Organic Alliance is needed right now and I am proud to be a member of their Advisory Board. We need to provide high quality, organic safe food people can trust. In my opinion food tastes better when I know those who produced it care as much about their product and environment as I do, and as a chef I am inspired by foods that taste better. Organic is synonymous with quality."
"We are thrilled to have such an esteemed Chef like Stephen Crellin on our Advisory Board," said Tom Morrison, CEO of Organic Alliance. "He brings a great deal of food knowledge and understanding of the importance of Organics to our board."
