Consumers Responding Positively, Exceeding Expectations
New Dole salad blends reach stores
Dole Fresh Vegetables, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company, Inc., announced the arrival of the two new salad blends, DOLE Fresh Discoveries 7 Lettuces and DOLE Fresh Discoveries Tender Garden in retail stores nationwide.
Released in February, DOLE Fresh Discoveries 7 Lettuces is a ready to enjoy blend of romaine, red leaf, green leaf, butter lettuce, escarole, radicchio & endive. DOLE Fresh Discoveries Tender Garden is a ready to enjoy blend of baby spinach, baby lettuces, carrots, baby greens & radicchio. Dole developed these blends to tie into consumers’ fascination with cooking shows and celebrity chefs.

“The feedback from both consumers and retailers has been tremendously positive,” said Russell Evans, Marketing Manager for Dole Fresh Vegetables. “We knew that consumers have been seeking high-end, gourmet options but were reluctant to go through all the preparation time. These salads blend a variety of delicious lettuce tastes that help them get to the next level in the kitchen while solving their challenges with time. And that’s what we are seeing in our orders.”
The salads make it easy for consumers to be healthy while also being able to have fun and be creative in the kitchen and represent the company’s continued and growing commitment and innovation in the bagged salad category.
