"There is a market for premium quality citrus"

Wilkofruit is in the middle of citrus. "We just started from a special region of Alicante where they are just starting the tastiest Spanish Navelina's. This area is in a valley in the mountains of Alicante and the 'Bergfruit' has a brix of 15-16, is full of juice and has an almost unnatural nice deep red colour," says Wilko van der Zwaard.

"Because the fruit is on the tree for longer, it becomes even tastier. We are very proud of this fruit. The customers we have already supplied these too have doubled their turnover despite the cold. It just goes to show, there is a market for premium quality even in times of crisis," continues Wilko. This fruit is packaged in 'Gaudias, fruits for Pleasure', in 10 kilo (Belgian packaging) and 15 kilo and in Quiris brand wood and carton 15 kilo.

Other than this, we are now in the middle of the clementine "Nour" from Agadir. They will continue for another four or so weeks. We also carry Salustiana by 'La Gazella' and they're going quickly. Heavy boxes of high brix, these are also good for tasty orange juice," concludes Wilko.
