X5 Retail Group gets "Strana Gerkulesiya"

X5 Retail Group N.V. has signed the agreement on purchase of 100% of business and actives of the network of shops "Strana Gerkulesiya" working in Moscow, the Moscow and Tver areas. It is spoken about in the report of X5 Retail Group.
The total amount of taken obligations under the transaction makes $65mln, including refinancing of a duty. The company plans to finish the transaction up to the end of 2007.

Within the limits of transaction X5 Retail Group gets 29 shops of the "discounter" format, from them 26, operating shops and three shops are planned for opening in the first quarter 2008. Five shops are in Moscow, 16 shops, in the nearest Moscow suburbs and 8 shops, in the distant Moscow suburbs and in the Tver area.
The total area of objects makes 27.1 thousand sq.m., that, besides shops, in particular, includes an office building and an object of not completed construction which in the future may be converted into shops of the group.

The pure trading area of got shops makes 12.9 thousand sq.m., from them 1.2 thousand sq.m. are shops opening in the I quarter 2008. X5 Retail Group N.V. - the large retail network in the Russian Federation - is formed by merge of TH "Perekryostok" and retail network "Pyaterochka". Within the limits of transaction Pyaterochka Holding has got TH "Perekryostok" at the Alpha-group, investment fund Templeton and management of the network. In turn, the Alpha-group has got the control share holding of the incorporated company. Pyaterochka Holding N.V. on May, 6th, 2005 has placed at the London stock exchange 45968144 GDR on $598mln.

For June, 30th the "Pyaterochka" network includes 539 own shops, including 241in Moscow, 223 in St.-Petersburg, 75 in regions of Russia. The network "Perekryostok" includes 170 own shops in РС and Ukraine, includes 98 objects in Moscow. As of June, 30th under the brand "Pyaterochka" works 591 more franchising shops in Russia and Kazakhstan and 10 franchising shops " Perekryostok " in the Moscow area.

The Net profit of X5 Retail in 2006 has grown up 1.2% to $103mln, the sales volume - up 49.6% to $3.55mlrd.

The proceeds of X5 Retail in the I half-year 2007 have grown up 49% to $2.348mlrd in comparison with the similar period of the last year. EBITDA (including expenses on new optional program in $22mln) has grown up 74% to $212mln.
