Eco Flavor Bowl up for PMA Impact Award

SUNSET's new Eco Flavor Bowl has been chosen as one of the finalists for this year's PMA Impact Award: Excellence in Packaging. The winner of the award will be announced at this year's PMA Fresh Summit conference in October.

The PMA Impact Award singles out innovations in packaging in the fresh produce industry. It recognizes packaging that is attention-grabbing, innovative, sustainable and efficient. Because SUNSET's new packaging fits the bill with regard to those criteria, the Eco Flavor Bowl has been chosen as a finalist for the award. The packaging uses top seal technology to maintain freshness, it's made from recycled materials and is 100 percent recyclable.

The Eco Flavor Bowl is sealed with a high graphic film, it's made from at least 70 percent recycled material and uses at least 20 percent less plastic than traditional clamshells. It's user friendly, as it’s easy to peel, and the design allows consumers to see as much of the product as possible.
