Ecuador to promote bananas at Madrid's Marathon

PRO ECUADOR, via its commercial office in Madrid, will promote Ecuadorian bananas at the 37th edition of the Rock 'n' Roll Madrid 2014 Marathon. The Ambassador of Ecuador in Spain participated, on Friday April 4, in the official presentation of the marathon, which will take place on April 27.

Ecuador will participate as an official partner of the event with four delivery points where they will give the athletes 100% Ecuadorian bananas that will be decorated with the logo of Ecuador Ama La Vida. Nearly 29,000 athletes will be running the Marathon, 7,000 of whom are from other countries, such as France, the UK, Italy and Germany.

The opening ceremony took place at the Hotel Melia Castilla. The event was attended by several authorities from Madrid, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, Government sub-delegate, Maria Angulo; the President of Mapoma, Guillermo Jiménez; and Josh Furlow, president of the Competitor Group, the company that created the Rock 'n' Roll races throughout the world and that is the market leader in media and entertainment events dedicated to promoting sport and active lifestyles.

There is a photograph of the Ecuadorian banana in the official magazine of the Rock 'n' Roll Madrid 2014, as well as a two-page report detailing the energy benefits of Ecuadorian bananas and how they are grown to have such a high quality, respecting their nature and with minimal sprayings so that they achieve a unique taste, colour and texture.
