New “Green” Misting Systems for Produce Departments

Prodew, Inc. recently introduced the first environmentally friendly produce misting system on the market. The Prodew misting track called VersaFresh (patent pending) is made of Acetal, a plastic approved by FDA and NSF while traditional misting systems are made of PVC plastic, now considered the worst plastic for the environment. The new mist track design utilizes less material per foot when compared to other misting systems and yet has a stylish look to enhance produce cases. The highly efficient nozzles help conserve water usage while still proving even mist coverage with 6”, 9”, 12”, and 18” nozzle spacing to keep perishables their freshest.

Prodew is the major supplier of misting equipment to the US Military Commissaries, Kroger, Publix, Ahold, Harris Teeter, Ingles, Bi-Lo, Save-A-Lot and now Wal-Mart. Prodew keeps manufacturing costs down to offer the highest quality misting systems at the lowest price in the industry.
