The Expoalimentaria Perú 2012, held in Lima 19-21 September, was a big hit. The event, organised by ADEX, PromPerú, the ministry of agriculture and the ministry of foreign affairs, is the largest celebration of the Food industry in Latin America. The Fresh Produce sector is extensively represented at the occasion.
This year’s line-up included producers, exporters, importers, and other representatives of the Fresh Produce industry. The event offered a perfect opportunity for the sector to present their products and services. Expoalimentaria Peru 2012 stood out for the wide participation of foreign companies. Buyers from Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Chile and the United Arabic Emirates all visited the event with great interest.
Peruvian VIP’s also attended. The president of Peru, Ollanta Humala, made an appearance, in the company of minister Gladys Triveño.

Officials, visitors and participating representatives all agreed the occasion was a big success and made a large contribution to the promotion of quality food.
