This award winning vegetable production company, is housed in the largest high tech greenhouse complex in the UK. It is in many ways unique, including its location, (organic) growing methods, environmentally friendly, new high tech greenhouses and a combined central processing unit.

For this challenging project we are looking for an enthusiastic, technical and innovative

Operational Manager, UK

The new Operational Manager will manage this unique project together with the Cultivation Manager.

The range of activities to be carried out by the Operational Manager include supervision of the production process (from planning to delivery to the processing depot), production prognoses, supervision and planning of personnel including external contacts, cost price supervision, supervision of energy usage, technical issues surrounding growing on substrate and checking the food safety system.

We are looking for a person with the following qualities:

Further Education level of working and thinking with experience in a similar function
Experience in growing peppers is preferred
Technical insight and experience
Interest in automation (Total Energy System, climate control, growing on substrate etc.)
Ability to supervise a range of staff in varied situations
Strong, professional communication skills
Good English language skills, written and spoken
Excellent planning and organization skills
Enthusiastic and flexible personality who never loses sight of the goal
In order to work well in the team, ideally aged between 25 and 35 years old
Ready and available to be based in the UK
