Role: Technical Compliance Officer

Our client is a specialist producer, grower, importer and supplier of fine quality fresh and pre-packed fresh produce to the major retailers. They are now seeking a Technical Compliance Officer.

Our client has a permanent supply chain in place to ensure that all customer orders are met in full 52 weeks of the year.

This role will ensure all the company’s customers due diligence requirements are met. It is an essential function of the technical department and includes supporting the Technical Manager in order to meet the company Technical objectives and the requirements of its customers.

Responsibilities will be:

- Maintaining the company’s BRC status.
- Ensuring the company Quality Management System (QMS) meets the requirements of all customers
- Meeting the requirements of the auditing plan and visit schedule in the UK and overseas
- Maintaining company’s due diligence and residue testing requirements
- Maintaining SEDEX company data and ensuring its suppliers compliance

The ideal candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

• Fresh produce exposure
• BRC auditing qualification
• Lead Assessor
• Experience in managing a company’s Quality Management System

In addition the following experience and characteristics are desirable:

• Experience with SEDEX
• Good interpersonal, communication, and IT skills
• Ability to work in a small team and use own initiative
• Availability to work overseas for up to 5 days at a time
