Redfox are working with Maersk Logistics / Damco, part of A.P Moller - Maersk Group. Maersk Logistics / Damco is a global logistics provider, offering customised solutions for integrated supply chain management, warehousing and distribution, and supply chain consultancy to large international customers all over the world.
Maersk Logistics / Damco is an independent unit within the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group with 200 offices in over 90 countries worldwide.
The Reefer logistics unit is one of the shining lights throughout the business and is now seen as a major opportunity for expansion within Europe and the Southern Hemisphere. As a result we now seek a European Business Development Manager to develop Maersk Reefer Logistics business.
The role would include overall responsibility for driving key customer /strategic sales within the European region whilst improving the current and new logistics solutions for current and future fresh food customers. As a result of this, the analysis of supply chain costs and systems will be vital to provide environmentally sustainable solutions that will drive bottom line contribution and overall revenues for the group. Its vital the right candidate understands that although strategic development is important Maersk is focused on growing their market exponentially each year for the next 4 years so they must utilise SCM tools to drive changes in how producers and end customers (retail and International brands) establish their supply chain connectivity.
To be of interest for this role we would expect extensive experience from supply-chain management execution in or outside reefer commodity industry, either executing, selling or procuring transport and logistic solutions. Alternatively, similar experience within the production, procurement or retailing environment of fresh perishables such as Fruit, Meats and Sea food would be very interesting and provide a great insight into the technical challenges of such a supply chain. In regard to personal characteristics we are looking for strong analytical skills combined with a solution–minded personality that embraces change and enjoys operating across different cultures and countries.
