Job offer
Home Based – Holland
As a specialist business, operating in a truly unique trading environment, International Produce is a company dedicated to supplying ASDA with 100% of their imported fresh fruit. Only five years old, yet already leaders in our field, we have experienced phenomenal year on year growth and in the process built unrivalled levels of supply chain expertise in the fresh fruit and produce field. Join us and you can look forward to the next significant step in an already progressive career to date, with one of the UK’s largest retailers.
Providing a central source of knowledge and expertise in respect of all quality, safety, ethical and due diligence issues, you’ll act as a principal liaison point for packhouse representatives and growers, ensuring the creation of strong strategic partnerships across our Dutch supply base. Charged with fostering and promoting a ‘best practice’ assurance approach, your brief will focus on supplier development and performance – identifying and monitoring individual growers and packhouses from both a commercial and technical perspective, whilst undertaking audits to determine compliance with ASDA Wal-Mart codes and standards.
As an established technical professional, with high levels of credibility and a well developed understanding of the Dutch market and supplier base, you must have proven track record of success in the salad/produce sector, ideally including protected crop experience (tomatoes, peppers & cucumbers). Having graduate in an applied science discipline and preferably with a recognised qualification in agronomy or horticulture, you should also demonstrate a clear appreciation of modern QA tools and techniques and be used to conducting third party audits to ISO 9000 standard. Fluent in Dutch, we also expect excellent relationship building skills and a genuine can-do approach, backed by the ability to make a visible improvement to existing performance and trading operations.
To apply, simply email your CV to Nick Trifunovic, Human Resources Manager at International Produce.
