Our client is a dynamic Fresh Produce import/export company based in Belgium. The company markets a wide variety of fruit and vegetables in Europe. Since many years the company is one of the key players in Belgium when it comes to fresh produce trade and distribution. The company culture can best be defined as Professional, Open and “No-nonsense”.
For our client we are currently selecting an Account Manager. The company offers interesting development opportunities and a competitive package including company car and additional benefits.
Job description
The Account Manager is the first point of reference for certain retail and wholesale clients. You are dedicated to both the Belgium and EU market. As part of Account Management you develop account strategies and seasonal plans. You feed back market trends and opportunities to producers/suppliers and translate them in workable solutions for your accounts.
Job requirements
You hold a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) and have commercial sales experience in the agri-business or related industry. You have a pro-active attitude and very strong communication skills. Languages necessary for this role are Dutch, French and English. German and other foreign languages will be a plus.
Candidate profile
Our client prefers to see candidates with a passion for fresh fruits and vegetables. Candidates with sales experience in the FMCG industry will also be considered. You have a pro-active mind-set and know how to develop relationships with both suppliers and clients. Your approach is personal, based on collaboration, while you keep a close eye on the commercial goals of the company. You know how to communicate in a dynamic environment and are able to translate changing market circumstances into client/account solutions. You have a strong tendency to think in solutions instead of problems and have a natural flair to get things organized. Furthermore you have a flexible attitude, cope well with stressful situations and stay focussed on results. You like to be an entrepreneur, have a hands on mentality and are able to think “out of the box”.
