About the Organisation
Flavourwave is one of Australia's premier growers and marketers of flavoursome vine-ripened, glasshouse grown produce which is stocked in major supermarkets across Australia. Flavourwave maintains its competitive edge through constant innovation. Located in Katunga, the farm is ideally situated in the Goulbourn Valley food bowl and currently covers 5 hectares of protected under cover cropping.

About the Opportunity
Flavourwave is currently expanding and are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the Crop Care team.
This role will report directly to the Senior Grower and will be responsible for leading a team of people to achieve a high result. You will need to be able to train, motivate and manage your team within the company’s guidelines to achieve KPIs and required production targets.

Core responsibilities for this role include:
  • Management of team including recruitment and training
  • Manage workloads and rosters
  • Performance management of direct reports
  • Ensure crop care tasks and target times are achieved
  • Manage and coordinate crop care tools and resources
  • Manage health and wellbeing of team members
The successful applicant should possess the following competencies:
  • Relevant experience in Production Horticulture
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Previous employee training / coaching experience
  • Possess a quality orientation and attention to detail
  • An awareness of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Previous team management and supervision experience
This is full time position with some variation in hours through the peak growing season. It represents a core role that is integral to Flavourwave's continued success.
