Mexican strawberry producing companies are carrying out an exploration mission in Spain with the hope of placing Guanajuato's strawberries and create commercial relations within the Spanish market.
This mission is possible thanks to the joint effort of Cofoce with the Direction of Economic Development from the Irapuato Municipality, to boost the strawberry industry in Guanajuato.

During the mission, meetings with several importers, processors and merchants will take place in the Huelva region, to identify more efficient commerce mechanisms for the Mexican products, for the national market and for export.
This will include the whole producing chain, from the seed to chemicals and for packaging, refrigeration and shipment.
As part of the mission, it is the intention to identify tendencies, not only about the product presentation, but also its processing and how to put it in the consumer's hands as part of added value products.

The six participating companies in the mission are from Irapuato and Abasolo mainly. Cofoce looks for the strawberry from Guanajuato to diversify its destinations and generate more exports.
