Awe Sum Organics prepares for a strong imported organic apple and pear season

Awe Sum Organics is looking forward to another substantial season long program of imported organic apples from New Zealand, Chile and Argentina and organic pears from Argentina.

Awe Sum continues to import by far the largest volume of organic apples to North America from the southern hemisphere, representing the largest organic apple shippers in both New Zealand and Chile. Providing a continuous supply throughout the entire import season, Awe Sum also offers the most comprehensive varietal selection for retailers in various tray pack sizes and in 12/3lb bags. They deal direct with retail chains and distributors, and offer season long programs for customers who want to plan and commit.

Awe Sum Organics plans to receive their first shipments of organic apples from New Zealand in late April and will continue until new crop domestic apples are available again. Awe Sum will import 90% of all New Zealand organic apples destined for North America. Their New Zealand organic apples will be packed in the Awe Sum Organics brand by JB Organics. The varieties offered will be Royal Gala, Fuji, Braeburn, Cripps Pink, and Granny Smith.

Awe Sum’s Chilean and Argentinean organic apple programs will be a strong complement to their New Zealand imports, as their South American fruit arrives earlier, starting in March, which creates a continuous supply from start to finish with no gaps. Awe Sum’s Chilean organic apples will be packed in the Organik Time brand and their Argentinian organic apples will be packed in the Tango and Awe Sum Organics brand. Varieties offered are Royal Gala, Granny Smith, Fuji, Cripps Pink, and Red Delicious. In addition to their high color Red Delicious, for the first time Awe Sum will offer the heirloom Red Delicious Apple with its variegated, striped color known as the Candy Stripe Red Delicious. This heirloom Red Delicious eats well and takes one back to that good old-time flavor before it was bred out to get a full red color.

Awe Sum Organics also represents one of the largest and longest standing organic pear shippers in the Rio Negro Valley of Argentina, a region which produces some of the best organic pears in the world due to its unique climate, perfect for pear production. Their Argentinian organic pears will be packed in the Tango and Awe Sum Organics brand.

Awe Sum’s organic Bartlett pears have already begun to arrive in the US, and will be followed by many other varieties: Red Bartlett, Autumn Bartlett, D’Anjou, Packham, Bosc and Abate Fetel. Awe Sum’s organic pear season will run from start to finish with no gaps until new crop domestic pears are available again.

Awe Sum Organics imports their organic apples and pears from all locations across the ocean direct to warehouses on both the east and west coasts creating ease of loading for all customers and a minimal carbon footprint.
