World premier Ariza: organic and Fairtrade certified apple juice concentrate
The organic apple growing project is located in the province Nigxia, in the north of China. The cooperation consists of 76 growers, that grow their apples on 318 hectares. They mainly grow Golden Delicious, red Fuji and Qingguan. The circumstances for growing the apples are good, partially due to the good soil, good climate, the availability of irrigation water and the good social economic structure. The growers receive a fair price for their apples through Fairtrade and a development bonus. The first proceeds from the Fairtrade bonus will be invested in land extension.
Ariza has been linked to this project since 2009. Together with FIBL, the Swiss research institute for organic agriculture, they improved many things, like the soil, pruning techniques and higher yields.
The organic apple juice concentrate has a brix level of 70ยบ and a acidity of 11 - 19 grammes/kilogrammes tartaric acid, measures at pH8,1 and is available in aseptic barrels of 275 kilogrammes netto. The apple juice concentrate is organically certified for America as well as Europe (NOP).
