ODENBERG showcases new advanced sorting technology
ODENBERG will also have a satellite presence in the French pavilion at the exhibition on Stand E-02a in Hall 21.With a global reputation as the leader in potato sorting, the company has further developed its existing sorting technology to ensure that ODENBERG halo’s applications include potatoes of all varieties and sizes (washed, unwashed, skin on, peeled and cut), sweet potatoes (skin on, peeled and cut) and carrots (washed, peeled and cut).Other sorting applications catered for by ODENBERG halo include citrus, peaches, pears, dried fruits, cucumbers, tomatoes and berries - all of which benefit from the system’s gentle product handling ability.
ODENBERG halo delivers enhanced defect, shape, colour and size sorting thanks to a next generation vision unit which integrates near infrared (NIR) spectrometry, charge-couple device (CCD) camera sensors and light-emitting diode (LED) illumination.This combination is mounted above and below the system’s conveyor belt, enabling ODENBERG halo to achieve unsurpassed levels of accuracy, thanks to its ability to deliver an impressive one millimetre resolution. The entire system is controlled by an intuitive touch screen to enable ease and flexibility of use.
