For decades, Bizerba has developed solutions and products specifically for the potato, fruit and vegetable sector, varying from pricers to weighing and labelling solutions. One of these solutions, the LDI 20 labelling machine is innovative because of its labelling options and optical sensors.

The modular construction of the LDI 20 offers a high level of flexibility, so that various packing formats and packing and labelling sizes can be handled. With just one label dispenser, you can handle various labelling sizes. The system is easy to operate and maintain. Because of the optical sensors, the label is automatically positioned, as are the dispensers themselves. The fruit and vegetable products can be labelled in permanent batches without packaging. In short: apples or aubergines, for example, can be individually provided with a sticker.
Even if you want to exchange a roll, the applicator automatically adjusts itself. Each applicator can be individually operated and positioned automatically, depending on the products. Fifteen different formats can be handled. The liner paper is shredded and collected in a crate, so that the amount of paper waste is kept at a minimum.
The complete system is operated by a PC with a touch screen: it’s therefore possible to operate at a distance, and IT systems can also be connected. A maximum of 14 label dispensers can be centrally driven and operated. The operation is simple and intuitive, with a data transfer via USB and an open interface to the overlying systems via Ethernet.
