Concept REGAL'INTM recently introduced the new Candine apples. In France, they will be commercialized by Blue Whale, which holds exclusive rights in the country. In Italy, they will be commercialized exclusively by Apofruit in accordance with the agreements signed in 2016.
Apofruit Italia director Ilenio Bastoni (in the photo above) declared that "the variety is part of the sweet apple segment. It can be cultivated on the plains but also at a high altitude."
Candine: the naturally delicious apple
The apples have a pink-bright red color on 70-80% of the surface. They are resistant to scab and are very crunchy, juicy, aromatic and with a delicate flavor. They are also suitable for prolonged storage in refrigerated units.
The name was chosen because it works in both French in Italian, as it is similar to the word "candied", which denotes one of the characteristics of these apples: their low acidity and sweet flavor.

Apfruit Italia also presented Candine apples at Interpoma 2018.
