China signs fresh produce MoU with Caribbean region

Yunxiang Supply Chain, part of the AliBaba Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Dominican Republic on the last day of the first China International Import Exposition. This is the first fresh produce MOU between China and the Caribbean region.

Xing Yue, vice-chairman of the AliBaba Group, and Luo Tong, vice-chairman of Yunxiang Supply Chain, participated in the signing ceremony together with a representative of the Dominican Republic Department for Foreign Investment as well as company representatives. Yunxiang Supply Chain reached an agreement with the Dominican Republic that will strengthen the international market position of fresh produce from the Dominican Republic.

Yunxiang Supply Chain will also employ the retail environment of the AliBaba Group to promote product brands from the Dominican Republic among Chinese consumers. This agreement is the first step in future cooperation between AliBaba Group and the fresh produce industry in the Dominican Republic.
