Colombian exotic fruits for European markets

The supply of exotic products is increasingly widespread in markets around the world, especially in Europe, where they are highly appreciated and well-known. As a result, Colombia is increasing its exports of exotic fruits, such as Physalis, Gulupa, or Passion Fruit.

One of the companies devoted to exporting exotic fruit to the world is ISASHII, whose most important markets are Hong Kong, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, the United States, and Aruba. The company is currently trying to open business in Europe, a market that knows exotic products very well and in which these fruits are very appreciated.

Andres Riaño, the General Manager of the company, said that "ISASHII has fresh and dehydrated fruits that are marketed under two brands, Isashii and Gaira, one of them markets fresher fruits and the other, which has a fancier brand image, would encompass gourmet markets."

This company does not have its own production, but works to facilitate all the packing and marketing work to local producers. This Colombian company has been working for 2 years to place exotic fruit on the gourmet sector of the market and, even though it may seem like a young company, its partners have 10 to 17 years of experience in the exotic fruit sector.

Currently, Colombian producers are on high alert due to weather events that may affect the production of their fruits, although at this time all crops are in good condition.
