"Strawberries are produced in Sila until mid-November. We mainly work with Romerto Marta (1200m als) and Soc. agricola Sole (1250m asl). Thanks to polytunnels, sunlight and the temperature range, we manage to obtain Albion strawberries with unique flavor, aroma and smell. In Sila, crops cover around 14 hectares."

Harvesting starts in early June and continues until mid-November. During the rest of the year, strawberries are produced in Basilicata, with crops covering another 107 hectares. Of these, 97 are destined to the cultivation of the Sabrosa variety, while the rest is destined to the Albion, Florida Fortuna and other varieties under testing."

"Harvesting has just started for the Albion variety in Basilicata and is about to start for Florida Fortuna. It will continue until June 2019. Most crops are destined to the Sabrosa variety, while Albion is currently being tested to assess its production and quality. Florida Fortuna is also grown by our producers, who have proved to be very professional and are assisted by our technical staff."

Demand is very good at the moment and prices are profitable. Supply exceeded demand in July and August, and the situation improved in September.
