Extraordinary harvest in terms of both volume and quality

Envy apples are back on Spanish shelves

The producers of the club variety Envy™, NUFRI, VOG and VI.P, are celebrating their return to the Spanish market with an increase in the production volume; a result of the entry into production of new plantations in Spain and Italy.

Spain is becoming one of the biggest markets for this variety, which is being well received by consumers and which has a lot of room to grow in the future, since its production is expected to continue increasing gradually over the next few years. This will also make it possible to extend its marketing period.

Regarding the latest campaign, NUFRI, VOG and VI.P highlight the commercial success of the Envy™, with a high degree of satisfaction on the part of customers and consumers. In order to continue deepening its penetration in the Spanish market, promotional activities will be carried out again in the points of sale. Information materials will be handed out to distributors and fruit store owners.

Extraordinary quality for this year's harvest and "controlled growth" policy to introduce the product rationally on the shelves
Jacky Feniello, commercial director of NUFRI, says that "our Envy™ production this year has an extraordinary quality. This will allow consumers to connect with the product and spark their interest in learning more about this club variety."

In his opinion, the Envy™ has all the necessary qualities to succeed in the Spanish market, thanks to its organoleptic properties, its excellent shelf life and its unique character.

For his part, the general director of VOG, Gerhard Dichgans, expects a very positive season. "Doubling our production volume will allow us to expand our base of customers and distributors and to work with greater continuity throughout the campaign." The start of the Spanish season will be on November 2, when the product will arrive at the points of sale. In Italy, this will happen two weeks later, since the harvest from high altitude plantations needs a little more time. "Furthermore, we need to accumulate enough stock to be able to supply the large number of customers interested in the product," says Dichgans.

Fabio Zanesco, commercial director of VI.P, confirms the company's strong commitment to this variety. "We are investing a lot of effort and money in the Envy™ because the demand is strong and we perceive the enthusiasm in European and international markets." He also defends a policy of "controlled growth," which may entail that not all orders will be met, but will allow the product to be rationally introduced on the shelves, which is considered fundamental for this project.
