Peru: Banana exports already exceed US $127.8 million

Between January and September of this year, Peru exported 177,295,875 kilos of bananas worth FOB US $ 127,822,825.

According to the Agrodata Peru website, the market that received the most Peruvian shipments of this item was the Netherlands, which accounted for 35% of the shipments. It was followed by the United States (29%), Germany (10%), Korea (7%), Belgium (5%), Finland (4%); Japan and Panama with 3% each; United Kingdom (2%); Italy and Canada with 1% each.

The largest banana exporting companies (in the same period) were Pronatur EIRL with sales of US $ 11,564,000, Cooperativa Agraria APPBOSA with US $ 10,149,000, Agronegocios Los Angeles SAC with US $ 8,770,000, the Association of Producers of Organic Banana Valle del Chira with US $ 6,243,000, and the Association of Small Organic Producers of Querecotillo with US $ 6,152,000.
