Willem Dijk junior:

"Turkish trade is of great importance"

Earlier in the year, Dutch produce wholesaler, Willem Dijk AGF formed a partnership with Finike of Hatipoglu Tarin from Antalya, Turkey. "They are a strong partner who understand what you want when it comes to quality, volumes, and logistics", says Willem junior.

"After a difficult summer, things are back to normal. Making clear adjustments, determining volumes, and fine-tuning logistics so you do not come up short. That has really been a big problem. Clients want to trade every day. They then also expect a complete high-quality package at, of course, the right price", he continues.

"As a total supplier, we want to excel in availability", says Willem. "There are, of course, groups of items that you cannot always get your hands on. However, in the long term, it is essential to succeed in this."

"Currently we have plenty of pomegranates and, of course, bell pepper and chili varieties on offer. These include the first black Turp (round black radish), quinces, and white courgettes. You can find Turkish pomegranates on every street corner. You can only distinguish yourself by having, in particular,  large-sized, full-colored ones", concludes Willem.
