Mixed loads increasingly popular

Gamma Frutta operates at Maap Mercato di Padova and sends 50% of its produce abroad. It also offers a mixed load service. The company will take part in the next edition of Fruit Attraction in Madrid.

"Single-product pallets are over as we receive increasing requests for mixed pallets. Of course one must be well-organised, but it's the best way to retain customers and acquire new ones," explains manager Francesco Timperi.

Gamma Frutta exports to many countries including Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia and Hungary. Over 50% of the produce commercialized is destined for export."

"We try to work with foreign wholesalers with our mixed loads. This way, pallets are ready to be transported by clients."

The company prefers fruit and vegetables produced in Italy and procures the produce from trusted suppliers. When domestic products aren't available, it imports from Spain, and that's why it'll go to Madrid as part of the Maap collective stand.
