New CEO for Michigan blueberry grower

First Pick Farms announced Wednesday, October 10th the election of Scott Nagelvoort to Chief Executive Officer. Scott joined First Pick Farms July 1, 2018. He has worked in multiple financing and operational roles for more than thirty years and he has been involved in the blueberry business for ten years. He has previously worked for Cornerstone Ag Enterprises, a large Michigan based family owned blueberry farming business where he served as their Chief Financial Officer and more recently, as their Chief Executive Officer.

First Pick Farms is one of the largest blueberry operations in Michigan with numerous blueberry farms from southwestern Michigan to the most northern commercial plantings in the state. The company said this allows it to offer fresh packed blueberries to their customers from the earliest harvest in the state to the last production, all under the control of one farming and packing operation.
