China: Increase of 1-3 yuan for "people's vegetables" in Xiamen

The Chinese vegetable market suffered from various fluctuations since September as a result of extreme weather conditions. The price of vegetables also greatly increased in Xiamen. Many vegetable production areas in Xiamen suffered from cloudy, rainy weather in recent days. How has this affected the vegetable market conditions? The Xiamen vegetable market is slowly recovering. The volume of 1-3 yuan [0.14-0.43 USD] "people's vegetables" is growing. The price of many kinds of vegetable has been cut in half in comparison with last month.

The prices of over half the vegetables, like Chinese cabbage, Chinese mustard, Bok Choy, and Chinese spinach, have greatly decreased to around half of what they used to be at their height in September. Coriander, briefly "trending online" at the price of more than 20 yuan [2.89 USD] per 0.5 kg, now costs around 12 yuan [1.73 USD].
