Together, Ramona Saa Lobelle and Gert-Jan Slobbe have been at Fortuna Frutos for 60 years

At Fortuna Frutos, two anniversaries were celebrated last week. Since 1 October 2018, Ramona Saa Lobelle and Gert-Jan Slobbe have both been employed for 30 years at this Dutch company.

Both started at Marconistraat in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 1 October 1988. The company was then called Fortuna Fruits. This achievement was celebrated by the entire staff at La Hermana, a wine and tapas restaurant in the Dutch town of Barendrecht.

The 2018/2019 vegetable import season started a few weeks ago at Fortuna Frutos. Vegetables are being brought in from Spanish regions of Almeria and Murcia. From week 42/43, tomato imports from the Canary Islands will follow. From week 47, cucumbers are expected from this same region of the world. Products from Tunisia will be available from week 46. Angelle cherry and snack tomatoes from Senegal will also be available from week 49.
