During an evening event organized on 28/09 by Olivier and Alexandre Grard in their new packaging station at Mas de Cannes in Mudaison, the leaders of the company "Pépinières GRARD" presented the new name of their company "GRADILIS", as well as the strategic issues of this new entity, in front of an audience of more than 150 invitees.
Already known for more than 20 years for their nursery activities in fruit plants (apples, pears and plums), GRADILIS executives now place research and varietal creation at the heart of the new development strategy.
In order to respond to societal issues (environment and consumer health) and the challenges of agricultural production (economic profitability and mechanization of orchards), GRADILIS will offer its customers varieties of apples with a panel of genetic resistance (scab, powdery mildew, and aphids in the future), as well as one-year-old fruit plants transplanted from the table, adapted to the orchard management in "fruit wall". The YPSILON® concept (formation of double-axis fruit trees in just nine months) is fully in line with these challenges of the "orchard of tomorrow".
As a partner of NOVADI in France, and shareholder in ABCZ Group internationally, GRADILIS has a wide and promising range of apples (Gradisca, Gradirose, Story® and Mandy®), pears (QTee® in particular), and plums ( TC Sun, October Sun).
