Kiwi Atlántico celebrates 30th anniversary

This year, Kiwi Atlántico is once again attending the international trade fair Fruit Attraction, one of the most important for the horticultural sector worldwide. In 2018, the event will be held for the 10th time, and the company, which is the largest kiwi marketer in Spain, has been attending it since the beginning. Just like Fruit Attraction itself, Kiwi Atlántico is also celebrating an anniversary, as 30 years have now passed since its foundation.

Since its establishment in 1988, Kiwi Atlántico's growth has been based on its effort and respect for its origins. This has allowed the firm to become a sector leader at a domestic level; something that would not be possible without all the people who, from the beginning, have worked at the company. Thus, last July, in a very emotional day, the brand honored some of the key people in the history of Kiwi Atlántico, including founders, managers, workers and suppliers.

José Carlos Vila, Managing Director, points out that "we are taking advantage of this anniversary to show what we have always felt: a huge gratitude for the work of the company's staff and for the effort and courage of those who have driven it to succeed. We will celebrate our 30th anniversary at Fruit Attraction coinciding with the 10th edition of this fair, which we have always believed in and supported," he says. Vila also pointed out that "at Kiwi Atlántico, we believe in progress in agriculture, and that is why we have been committed to this event since its creation in 2008."

30 years of history
Kiwi Atlántico was established in 1988 as an association of 30 kiwi producers from Galicia and Asturias. Currently, it has more than 70 partners and 20 collaborating producers, bringing together farms of different sizes.

Today, Kiwi Atlántico, as a group, exceeds 30 million Euro in turnover and has 93 workers.
