Russia: Mushroom greenhouse opened in Tula

A festive opening ceremony of a greenhouse for champignon cultivation took place on September 25. The governor of the Tula region, Mr. Aleksey Dyumin, congratulated the management and the employees with the event.

The new complex will employ over 500 dwellers of the Tula region; introduction of modern technologies will allow for productivity enhancement.

The head of the region also noted that the local government welcomes such ambitious projects and will provide all the needed support.

“It is one of the projects that we are going to complete in the area. We are already seeing the results of well-planned activities. The territory is developing and new residents are coming in. In the coming future a few more enterprises will appear here”, announced Mr. Dyumin.

The greenhouse will be working non-stop in all seasons and will supply 10 thousand tons of champignons a year.

The founder of the AgroGrib company, Mr. Kamo Avagumyan, added that the project will be fully completed in 2020. By then, the enterprise would be able to meet the demand of the Russian market. The production volume is planned to be increased to 25 thousand tons per year. The investor also reported that the construction of the greenhouse for mushroom growing presupposes overall investments to the amount of 117 million euros. As a result of the project completion, 900 jobs will be created.
