What will happen to prices?

"Worldwide apple production fell by over 30% this year"

"This year, apples in Shaanxi and other places were seriously affected by the frost disaster, and the overall reduction of Chinese apple production stood at around 30-40%. At the same time, the bad weather in April and May this year led to a decline in production in countries such as Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic. Production is expected to fall by about 20% this year across Europe and by about 30% worldwide, which could be good news for prices."

"This year the price of Gala apples generally rose and the price of early ripe Fujis started to show strong momentum. Late ripe Fujis will enter the market soon. The transaction situation everywhere is positive and optimistic."

"The early-maturing red Fuji has already entered the end of the acquisition perid, and the market supply is insufficient, causing the price to rise. Mid-late ripe red Fujis were affected by the weather and the output is reduced, and the quality is worse. The buyers are more willing to purchase better quality apples with a higher price. In addition, as the weather turned cold, some fruits were withdrawn from the market, and the wholesale price of pears and bananas rose on a month-on-month basis, which gave a certain boost to apple prices."
