1,500 extra tons of strawberries

France: Cadralbret joins Paysans de Rougeline

The Nérac based cooperative, Cadralbret, will join Paysans de Rougeline in 2019. The Marmande based Paysans de Rougeline will now have 6 cooperatives and even more visibility in the tomato and strawberry sector. Thanks to their common values they will be able to join forces for sales and marketing.

In 2017, 12,000 tons of fruit and vegetables were produced by their 90 farmers across Bias, Agen and Nérac. 7,400 tons of this was tomatoes, 1,300 tons of strawberries and 1,000 tons of kiwis.

The Rougeline cooperative has 230 producers and a €135 million turnover. Whilst Rougeline is a reference on the tomato market, Cadralbret will also allow them an extra 1,500 tons of strawberries.
