Registration for British Carrot Demonstration Day has opened

UK Carrot growers are being urged to register now for the British Carrot Day, which will take place on October 4th at Serlby, Doncaster. The day, which is being hosted by D Skelton & Sons and Strawsons Ltd, is sponsored by AHDB and NIAB TAG. Those attending will have the chance to view 70 variety plots from all the main breeders.
In addition, there will be an exhibition featuring more than 30 companies from seed, and chemicals to machinery, as well as providing an excellent opportunity for networking.

As part of the event trade companies are invited to submit their most innovative product or services into a competition to be judged by members of the BCGA Research & Development Committee.
Rodger Hobson, Chairman of the British Carrot Growers Association said: “As well as the 70 varieties, there will be the chance to see demonstrations of new crop protection technology and AHDB’s SCEPTREplus herbicide trial screen. The event is an ideal opportunity for growers to bring themselves up to speed with the latest developments.”
