Spain: CMR fresh Fruits and vegetables all year around


CMR dates as far back as 1879, the time when the first generation of the company put the foundation stone to constitute what nowadays is CMR GROUP. The group has its base in Barcelona, Fruits CMR, and subsidiaries in Madrid, León, Canaries, France, Holland and Brazil.

 

The company offers product all year round due to the diversity of origins, from more than 50 countries. When a product stops being supplied from a specific origin, the company imports it from another point, providing a continuous supply. 


 


CMR structures its products around nine categories such as: fruits, vegetables, tropical, exotic and ethnic fruits, berries, citrus fruits, IQF range, aromatic grasses, integrated production and mini vegetables


 

Despite the difficult economic times, CMR is managing to increase its commercialization volume during the current year in comparison to previous years. CMR distributes its products in Spain as well as in the southern, central northern Europe.



In the last years, CMR has bet on the initiation of a process of internationalization, which has led to founding subsidiaries in Holland, France and Brazil, also being open to new offers and opportunities that are generated in this regard. Recently the company acquired a distribution plant of 9.000m2 of in a plot of 17.000 m2, attached to the wholesale market of Barcelona in order to enhance the whole logistic movement and of stock currently generated, and with the objective that in this location they can concentrate the stores and distribution as well as the main offices of CMR GROUP.
