Compac installs Turnkey Solution for Riveridge of Michigan

Compac Sorting Equipment has supplied another Turnkey Solution giving greater pack house efficiencies to one of its customers, Riveridge Produce Marketing.
The solution comprises of three Compac sorting machines, two four lane Compac MLS machines and one Compac DLS Hybrid machine.

The project, completed along with Fruit Handling Systems is the latest iteration of Compac’s strategy of supplying a fully integrated turnkey solution to customers with Compac supplying the sizer and control systems along with Fruit Handing Systems supplying water flumes, bin dumping and other peripheral equipment. Customers can be provided with a solution covering them from the initial bin dump right through to packing and traceability.

“We want customers to know that we can cover all their needs and take care of the whole project to make the process as efficient and as painless as possible. That why we’re now providing turnkey solutions to the industry.” Jody Jackson, Compac’s South Eastern USA Sales Manager said.
The Riveridge installation is also fully compliant with the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI), an industry standard designed to provide the highest levels of traceability protection to retail customers. To achieve compliance Compac provided a Pack Printing Solution with a new GTIN or Global Trade Item Number barcode module which generates barcodes to international standards and allows the installation to meet the standards set by the PTI.

Another innovation in this turnkey installation is the provision of an under floor carton conveyor system allowing forklifts to travel on the area above where the cartons are being moved all allowing for a more efficient use of space.
