Jordan: JEPA high quality service provider association

The Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables (JEPA) is a non-profit organization, it was established in March 1994 by a group of private exporters and producers in the horticultural sector.

Our Vision: JEPA is recognized by all horticultural stakeholders in Jordan as a high quality service provider association to improve and promote the competitiveness of Jordan horticultural produce in the global market.

Our Mission: To improve competitiveness of Jordanian Horticultural fresh produce in the domestic and international commerce through providing high quality technical and information services and enhancing business-wise dealing between all stakeholders in the horticultural sector.



JEPA is considered a brand of kinds in Jordan among all current NGO's in the horticultural sector, in being the only and leading NGO that represents the whole horticultural sector in Jordan.

Being a holder of Mark of Best Practice for 2 successive rounds awarded from King Abdullah II Center for Excellence for the bright and exclusive management of its services it offers for its members in particular and for the whole horticultural sector in general.



To achieve its goals JEPA cooperates with all relative Public & Private sector institutions, as well as with all Donors from friendly nations working in Jordan.

Jepa provides a wide range of Services to its members and to the Agricultural Sector. These services include Promotion, Training, Consultancy, Advocacy and Information.



Jordan produces and exports a wide range of high quality of fruit and vegetables with a unique taste and special characteristics. In this article we will focus on three important products with high nutritious values which are: Sweet Pepper, Dates and Strawberry.

Sweet Peppers: Green, Yellow, Red and Orange are produced all year round. Cultivation areas are: Jordan Valley, Semi Jordan Valley and the highlands.
Jordan ranks 15 out of 122 exporting countries of Pepper, total export quantities in 2008 were "25777.5" tons, "4474.6" of them were exported to EU countries.



Growing Dates has been increasing in the last few years, especially in the desert areas and in Jordan Valley.
Fresh Dates are available during the months August up to January, while Dry Dates are found all year round.
Jordan ranks 18 out of 91 exporting countries of Dates. Total exports of Jordanian Dates: "98.7" tons, "9.2" tons to the EU markets.

Jordanian Strawberry has a very delicious flavor and beautiful shape. It is grown in the Jordan Valley and in the highlands.
Production period: All year round.
Jordan ranks 34 out of 78 exporting countries of Strawberry, Jordan exports of it in 2008: "174.7" tons, "66.4" of them were to EU countries.
