Shanghai Zhenhai International Trade Co. Ltd. export fruit and veg worldwide

With 20 years of experience in exporting fruit and vegetables, Shanghai Zhenhai International Trade Co. Ltd., works continuously to improve the quality of their fresh produce. Their main export products are garlic, Fuji apples, pears, pomelos, and chestnuts.

Shanghai Zhenhai’s 2009 garlic season only produced half the volume of last season, for this reason, the price has increased since the harvest in June. The Brazilian market was quick to take the new season’s garlic at the higher price, some also went to the Middle East and a little to Europe. A lot of garlic from last season went to the traditional Chinese market in the Southeast because, they are very price conscious and would not accept the prices for new garlic at the start of the season. The world market is gradually accepting the new prices because the price is not likely to depreciate for the rest of the 2009 season.

Shanghai Zhenhai export Fuji apples all over the world, the new harvest will be starting in October. They expect the price to be higher this season compared to last year. The company also exports Nashi pears, Ya pears and other varieties of Chinese pears all over the world. From July, Su pears, Crown pears and Golden pears are available and from September, their main variety, the Ya pear. It is expected that the price obtained this season will be better than last season.

Pomelo is also on the list of exports for Shanghai Zhenai, it is exported to Holland, France, Germany and Russia. Last year both Chinese exporters and European importers suffered losses when too much Chinese pomelo flooded the market. For the 2009 season export will start in September, the price maybe a bit higher than last season. One of the risks for this product is pesticide residue control.

Chestnuts are also exported to Holland, France and UAE. The new season starts in September. There is always a risk of insect pest where chestnuts are concerned, but the quality is expected to be better this season compared to last.
