China - LATAM: Promotion and activities of the fruit sector

China is an increasingly common reality in the South American fruit sector.

Chile and Peru are already common suppliers of the Chinese market, and their products mainly grapes, mangoes and stone fruit have been tailored to Chinaís requirements for quality and condition.

The lack of knowledge in the way of doing business as well as building reliable networks which are strong and durable, in turn forming durable and reliable platforms are radically affecting the progress of the sector in China.

Still, last season the direct shipment of Chilean grapes to China increased by 300% compared to the previous season.

We must have a presence not only in the business per se, but also in other areas that our competitors have for years developed quite successfully.

What about training the retail sector in China? What about topics such as handling, display and marketing of fresh fruit to the local Dealer?

Do we invest enough in advertising to stimulate sales and turnover of our products in wholesale markets and retail outlets in China?
